This was our second time in Cartmel, we love it.

Weavers Cottage is fab!

Appliance envy in the kitchen!! The conservatory is also a great family space.

Weavers Cottage was ideal, loved the huge conservatory.

From our guest book:-

Fantastic cottage. Everything you could need plus warm and extremely clean, lovely sunny garden and a great location, what more could you need?

We had a delicious take-away from Grange-over-Sands and lovely food and beer from the Black Bull in Coniston.

We will be back

From an email:-

Thanks for a lovely week! The cottage is absolutely perfect and you could teach some established cottage companies a thing or two!! Super clean, warm and very comfortable. We very much look forward to coming back again!

28TH AUGUST 2015

We’ve stayed in 5 of Simon’s cottages and this new one is just wonderful!

High tech gadgets alongside beams and stripped wooden doors-exactly how I would like to live full time!!

We were blessed with sunny weather despite the forecast being for thunderstorms.

Perfect location in Cartmel for food, walking and relaxing-why go abroad!?!

We will definitely be back, hopefully very soon. Thanks Simon, Ailsa and Bobby – Shona, Graham and Dusty, Bolton, Lancashire

“Fantastic”

5 of 5 stars

Booked this cottage as a last minute whim to take myself, my husband, daughter and son aged 12 & 10 and Jerry the lurcher away for a couple of days. The cottage is beautiful, spotless and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was particularly impressive for a holiday rental, equipped with space-age appliances, enormous fridge plus additional wine cooler. The little extra touches were especially appreciated, such as the welcome pack with milk in the fridge and walkers’ maps and suggestions in the living room. Had never considered visiting Cartmel before, but found the village to be quiet but welcoming and a great location for both the lakes and the coast – Grange-over-Sands is a very pleasant 2-3 mile walk away and Jerry loved the run along the beach. We also took him up to Grizedale forest which was lovely and surprisingly quiet for mid-August. Cartmel itself has several doggie-friendly pubs, we visited the King’s Head and the Royal Oak – both busy with a good atmosphere and I would recommend that you book if you want to eat. All in all a lovely weekend and we will most certainly consider booking again – The Livesey Family, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire

“AMAZING COTTAGE SET IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS”

5 of 5 stars

We stayed in Weavers Cottage August 2015. The cottage is absolutely outstanding! Six adults shared the cottage and everyone of us loved it. Weavers Cottage is very spacious, immaculate and so tastefully decorated. The four bedrooms are extremely stylish and comfortable. Three lovely bathrooms, including en suite wet room and one with free standing bath. Again all modernised and immaculate. The mature well kept gardens surrounding the house gave us the perfect chance to chill out, relax and share a BBQ. (large BBQ in garden) We enjoyed sitting out in the garden patio area enjoying the evening sun.

The kitchen and the conservatory are amazing!! The brand new ‘state of the art’ kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need… and more. ‘Kitchenaid’ appliances, wine cooler, high spec cooker, microwave, coffee machine and the biggest built in fridge ever.

The conservatory with beautiful wooden table, overlooking the garden was a wonderful place to enjoy meals and play card games with our friends.

The centre of historic Cartmel is just a few minutes walk from Weavers Cottage. Cartmel is a quaint picturesque village with unique shops, lovely restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. The ancient Priory is well worth a visit. Near the village square there is a paved yard/patio are comprising of three shops selling breads ,wines and cheeses. They provide a board for you to sit at a table and enjoy your purchases. There are lots of beautiful walks in and around this stunning area. (maps and local information in cottage)

If you are looking for a beautiful, stylish cottage in a tranquil, picturesque setting but also with lots to see and explore I would highly recommend Weavers Cottage. Simply the best!!! We all had a wonderful time. Thank you. Caroline, Jim and friends
