Amazing news for Cartmel!
Rogan & Co in Cartmel has just been awarded a Michelin star.
Rogan & Co is Simon Rogan’s sister restaurant to L’Enclume and is also located in Cartmel Village. This restaurant offers a more casual dining experience than L’Enclume and at a completely different price level. In fact, I doubt if there’s a more inexpensive Michelin starred restaurant in the UK with 2 courses from £30 and 3 courses from £39.
The new Head, Chef Tom Barnes was previously head chef at L’Enclume before spending a year working in one of Copenhagen’s top restaurant.
Tom cooks with the precision and creativity of Simon Rogan’s distinctive style, using superb Cumbrian produce, as well as home-grown ingredients harvested from Simon’s farm less than a mile away in the Cartmel Valley.
Rogan & Co celebrates the Lake District’s best produce as well as being inspired by flavours from around the world.
Rogan & Co. has grown over the last few years into 1 of Cumbria’s best restaurants and certainly one of our favourites.
This amazing achievement for Simon Rogan, alongside L’Enclume’s 2 Michelin stars, means that Cartmel is 1 of just 2 UK villages with 3 shiny Michelin stars!!!
